about one hour after republican house speaker john boehner held a news conference suggesting that the president has been unwilling to compromise on a deal to cut our debt and complaining about washington's, quote, spending program. >> there are a lot of things that are possible to put the revenue that the president seeks on the table, but none of it is going to be possible if the president insists on his position. insists on my way or the highway. that's not the way to get to an agreement that i think is important for the american people and very important for our economy. alisyn: the bitter partisan fight over the debt deal even came up in a surprising way at last night's national tree lighting ceremony in washington. during a rendition of santa claus is coming to town one of the musicians paused and started talking to president obama. let's watch. >> you all be good this year?
